Our STORY

Keith Kalawsky worked as a financial journalist before joining Kalawsky Chevrolet in 2006 as its Controller. After a few years of specialized training in automotive management, Keith approached Hyundai Canada to open a new dealership and bring its well-respected vehicles to the area. Castlegar Hyundai opened in September, 2009. Castlegar Hyundai is the authorized Hyundai dealer for the West Kootenay Region, including Castlegar, Nelson, Trail, Rossland, New Denver, Kaslo, Creston and all communities in between. A few years later, Kia Canada wanted to add a dealership in the region. Keith signed on, built a new facility on Columbia Avenue, and Castlegar Kia opened in 2013.
